Job summary

Terracon is seeking an Archaeology Field Technician to support surveys, testing, and excavations in Colorado. You will help with documentation, artifact collection, and basic recording under supervision.

Requirements include a BA in Archaeology/Anthropology with field school experience, strong knowledge of soils and stratigraphy, and proficiency with MS Office and GPS. A valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• BA in Archaeology/Anthropology or related field with 2 years of related experience
• Field school completion or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of artifact identification, soils, and stratigraphy
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Proficient with using GPS/GIS tools
• Valid driver’s license may be required

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects; participate in pre-task planning; report safety concerns.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Assist with fieldwork such as survey, excavation, artifact collection and documentation.
