Job summary

Accenture's Utilities Practice seeks an ArcGIS Utility Network Solution Architect to lead the transformation of legacy GIS to ArcGIS Utility Network, defining the target platform and guiding the migration.

You will provide functional leadership across processes, applications, services and integrations, aligning with enterprise architecture and utility objectives. Open to major US cities near Accenture offices.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with electric and gas distribution utilities, with strong understanding of operational processes and field‑to‑office workflows.
• Proven ability to align GIS solutions to the needs of engineering, operations, control rooms, and asset management teams.
• Strong grasp of Utility Network functional concepts, including network topology and rules, asset and device modeling, structural vs. functional networks, and advanced network tracing.
• Experience guiding organizations through the process and change impacts associated with adopting ArcGIS Utility Network and ArcGIS Pro‑centric editing.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with the Esri platform, including ArcGIS Utility Network, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and service‑based GIS patterns.
• Strong understanding of Utility Network architecture, including branch versioning, services, APIs, and web‑GIS deployment models.
• Demonstrated success migrating from database‑centric GIS architectures to service‑oriented, API‑driven platforms.
• Experience integrating GIS with enterprise systems, such as Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Work Management, Outage Management Systems (OMS), and field mobility solutions.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and future‑ready GIS platform aligned with enterprise IT standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, and integrations for ArcGIS Utility Network implementation.
• Translate utility business requirements into scalable GIS workflows, apps, services and integrations.
• Guide migration from legacy network models to ArcGIS Utility Network with best practices.
• Provide functional leadership to delivery teams ensuring quality, performance and continuity.
• Engage stakeholders with best practices, risks, and lessons learned from similar implementations.
