Job summary

ASUS is seeking a proactive Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist in Fremont, CA to oversee billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting. You will lead a small AR team, mentor junior members, and partner with Sales and other departments to ensure accurate and timely AR processes.

The role emphasizes GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and strong Excel skills to analyze AR metrics, forecast cash flows, and drive process improvements in a dynamic office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent work experience.
• 4–6 years of AR or accounting experience; 1–2 years in senior/lead role.
• Experience with collections, reconciliations, and process improvements.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing, payment application, aging tracking, and collections for accurate AR.
• Perform reconciliations, AR forecasts, and support month-end close.
• Investigate and resolve disputes and misapplied payments with Sales and other departments.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and lead collection efforts to improve DSO and cash receipts.
• Identify and implement AR process improvements and standardization.
• Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly AR reports; maintain AR records.
• Guide junior team members and serve as escalation point for AR best practices.
• Support audits; perform bank reconciliations and intercompany adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate customer records and communications; nurture client relationships.
• Manage small projects and cross-functional initiatives with supervision.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks and broader team goals.
