Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a highly motivated and professional certified Aquatics Coordinator to oversee the aquatics program at a Chicago club. The role emphasizes coordinating daily activities, ensuring safety, and guiding aquatic staff.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree related to recreation management, at least 3 years in aquatics management, and ARC Lifeguard certifications. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Recreation Management or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day aquatic programs.
• Liaise between Aquatic Director and staff.
• Schedule staff to ensure safety and quality program delivery.
• Provide backups to lifeguards during emergencies.
• Train swim and fitness instructors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state, county, and federal standards.
