Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center – Chicago is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to support the Aquatics Manager and team. You will help cover pool shifts, develop programming, and manage daily operations of the Aquatics Department, supervising staff during shifts and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years' experience in Aquatics Management with a staff of at least 15.
Have or obtain within three months a valid Illinois Drivers' License and insured transportation.
Possession of current certificates in American Red Cross First Aid or First Aid For Public Safety Personnel (Title22) or above; CPR for the Professional Rescuer (CPR Pro), and Lifeguard Training.

Responsibilities

Assist the Aquatics Manager and Aquatics Assistant Managers in day-to-day operation of aquatic programs and facilities.
Supervise all Aquatics staff during assigned shifts.
Maintain safety standards and ensure staff follow procedures.
Plan and facilitate external group rentals with Events Team.
