Job summary

The City of San Diego is seeking a Swimming Pool Manager III to lead and supervise lifeguard and aquatic staff, teach classes, and ensure safe operations across the city's pools. You will maintain facilities, conduct safety trainings, and coordinate special aquatic events to serve the community.

Requirements include 18+ years, 1 year of relevant managerial experience, and multiple American Red Cross certifications; expect weekend/evening shifts and summer scheduling in a dynamic recreation

Qualifications

• Must hold valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid certificate.
• Must hold American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response certificate.
• Must hold American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate.
• Must hold American Red Cross CPR/AED for Lifeguard or equivalent certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead, evaluate and supervise staff and volunteers in aquatic programs.
• Teach swimming classes and ensure safety and program quality.
• Perform pool maintenance and administer first aid/CPR as needed.
• Develop and publicize aquatic programs and coordinate staffing.
