Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Aptitude Technician to support integrated technology systems on a job site. You will work hands-on with installation, testing and maintenance, while supervising a crew as a working lead in line with the company’s strategy and values.

You will participate in safety programs, manage tool inventories, coordinate materials, and ensure quality across structured cabling projects. 2+ years in cabling with data center experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Apprentice or vocational/technical training preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety culture and mentors others.
• Works with tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Tracks and reports units and labor hours; submits timecards.
• Manages tools and equipment to support project production.
• Leads and monitors safety procedures within the crew.
• Achieves crew production goals and sizes align with targets.
• Documents key information like activities, productions and crew sizes.
• Coordinates deliveries and interaction with suppliers at the jobsite.
• Maintains established quality levels for duties.
• Coordinates other trade work within the scope of work.
• Participates in safety activities and site inspections.
• Reads and understands plans, specs, shop drawings and coordination drawings.
• Provides on-the-job guidance and shares expertise to develop teammates.
• Coordinates inspections for the assigned scope of work.
• Leads a small team on complex installations and timelines.
• Oversees quality of structured cabling projects.
• Troubleshoots advanced system issues and implements solutions.
