Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Security to lead security across browser extensions, mobile apps, backend services and smart contracts. You will own threat modelling, secure design reviews and vulnerability management while guiding a small senior team.

You will set strategy, align with leadership, and directly review code and architecture while ensuring coverage across clients and internal services. This is remote-first, with global collaboration.

Qualifications

Eight+ years in application security or software engineering with security focus.
Hands-on code review in TS/JS, Go or Solidity across extensions, mobile apps and backend services.
Experience securing apps across clients and backend services with auth & key management.
Proven AppSec program leadership and secure SDLC delivery including AI scanning.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the AppSec team, hiring and performance management while contributing technically.
Set strategy, goals and OKRs; define KPIs and report progress to leadership.
Oversee secure design reviews, threat modelling and security architecture reviews.
Define supply chain security requirements and validate controls for dependencies and builds.
Lead security code reviews and address findings with engineers.
Evolve the secure development lifecycle to include AI agents and tooling.
