Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to secure the development pipeline, product, and customer execution environments across clouds. You will partner with software engineers and customers to embed security into design, maintain secure coding practices, and influence responsible AI usage.

The role requires strong collaboration, threat modeling, and hands-on security across multi-language apps, with Kubernetes security and multi-tenant controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years in application or product security or a related role.
• Proven partnership with engineering teams, bringing security expertise to planning and development.
• Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and secure communication protocols.
• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and penetration testing frameworks.
• Deep understanding of application architecture and design principles across multiple languages.
• Excellent communication to explain security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Kubernetes security posture management and auditing, including RBAC design and admission control.
• Experience with multi-tenant security architecture and data leakage prevention.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Python and Go.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate security principles into design and architecture of products.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and attack vectors across the full product surface.
• Manage the Secure Development pipeline including code security and third-party library supply-chain security.
• Stay current on emerging standards and translate into actionable internal policy (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs).
• Triage Bug Bounty findings and disclosed vulnerabilities.
• Participation in on-call rotation.
