Job summary

Via is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to own the security of our applications across the software development lifecycle. You will work with product, development, and operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, promote secure coding, and build a mature AppSec program.

You’ll perform security assessments (SAST/DAST/SCA), design testing strategies, build automation, respond to incidents, and drive secure practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in application security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25 and SANS Controls.
• Experience with SAST/DAST/SCA tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments including pentesting, vulnerability scanning and code reviews.
• Collaborate with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enforce secure coding.
• Define and implement app-sec testing strategies (SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Build tooling and automation for CI/CD integrations and security workflows.
• Monitor security metrics and participate in incident response for applications.
