Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Distinguished Engineer - Application Security to shape the future of enterprise AppSec, guiding architecture across web, mobile, API, microservices, and AI-native applications in cloud, on-prem, SaaS and hybrid environments.

You will lead the security tooling strategy, drive secure software development practices, and collaborate with Developer Experience and Platform teams to make secure paths the default across the engineering organisation.

Qualifications

15+ years in technical roles influencing across audiences
10+ years bridging deep technical work with business strategy
10+ years hands-on software engineering across Java/C#/JS/Python/Go
8+ years in application security at enterprise scale
5+ years setting multi-year technical roadmaps for AppSec/DevSecOps
Deep knowledge of modern AppSec tooling: SAST/DAST/SCA/IAST/RASP
Experience integrating security into CI/CD platforms and developer workflows
Knowledge of SBOMs, SLSA, provenance, and supply chain security
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, microservices) and API design
