Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum three years of real or commercial property appraisal experience.
• NC Real Property Appraiser I within one year of employment.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Equivalent education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in commercial property valuation for countywide revaluation and annual listing periods.
• Review, analyze and implement all three approaches to value for all types of real property.
• Review complex Income & Expense statements to determine value.
• Analyze different commercial lease types.
• Site visits to gather physical and economic information to appraise properties.
• Revalue land due to splits, combinations, new parcel creation and zoning changes.
• Review information supplied by taxpayers and perform analysis to support and defend values during all levels of appeals.
• Assist with other tasks as determined by real property managers.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to staff in the absence of Appraisal Manager/Supervisor.
