Job summary

Kiavi is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to reinvent real estate lending by tackling AVM and valuation challenges. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and business leaders to deploy production ML solutions that span data, models, and infrastructure.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor teammates, and work with MLOps and risk teams to improve valuation accuracy and deployment efficiency in a remote-friendly, US-based role.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s in a quantitative field with 5+ years of production ML experience.
• Proven track record deploying ML models in real estate or finance domains.
• Strong Python, SQL, and R in production environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership to mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AVM system design, development, and deployment.
• Refine ML models for asset valuation using spatial-temporal data.
• Establish quantitative frameworks for model monitoring and retraining.
• Build tools to empower risk, underwriting, and markets teams.
• Collaborate with data infra and MLOps to enhance data capabilities and inference.
