Amazon is seeking an experienced ML/AI researcher to join the Kiro LLM-Training team at the AWS Development Center. You will push the boundaries of reinforcement learning and post-training techniques for code-focused language models, and deploy advanced ML solutions at scale.

The role involves collaborating with customers, presenting at top conferences, and helping bring research breakthroughs into production systems while enjoying a flexible, hybrid work model near AWS offices in New York.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Push the boundaries of RL and post-training methods for large language models focused on code intelligence.
• Invent and implement state-of-the-art ML solutions at scale for AWS.
• Deploy products that impact daily workflows of millions of developers.
• Publish and present work at premier ML/NLP conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP).
• Work with customers to transition research breakthroughs into production systems.
