Job summary

Audible is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to solve large-scale ML/AI challenges, building production-ready models across NLP, GenAI, and distributed systems. You will translate customer needs into scalable scientific solutions and collaborate with engineers and product teams at Audible and Amazon.

You will lead design, implementation, and deployment of end-to-end solutions, mentor other scientists, publish findings, and drive the scientific agenda.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database or Storage.
• Experience in deploying LLMs in production on GPUs/accelerators.
• PhD with 5+ years or Master’s with 10+ years in ML/CS/Data Science/Applied Math.
• 5+ years of work in Deep Learning, NLP/Understanding, GenAI or RL.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience delivering science solutions into production systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand complex, ambiguous use cases and design scalable models.
• Collaborate with scientists and software engineers to productionize models.
• Review models to reduce risk and improve customer experience.
• Lead end-to-end solutions for Content Understanding, Recommendations and GenAI features.
• Drive initiatives using recent ML/AI advances and publish findings.
• Mentor scientists and lead science reviews across teams.
