Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist for Sponsored Products and Brands Off-Search. You will advance GenAI and LLM-powered solutions that reshape ad retrieval, allocation, and page relevance, working with cross-functional teams to scale production systems.

You’ll stay at the forefront of AI research, mentor junior colleagues, and help drive impactful, customer‑focused experimentation across Amazon’s advertising platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Strong foundation in GenAI, large language models, ML, deep learning, probabilistic modeling, and/or optimization.
• Experience developing and deploying models in real-world production environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of GenAI, deep learning, multi-objective optimization and/or reinforcement learning empowered solutions.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver production-ready science solutions.
• Stay abreast of GenAI and LLM trends and bring innovative concepts to the team.
• Enhance the team’s scientific rigor by selecting and implementing best-in-class methods and infrastructure.
• Mentor and grow junior scientists and engineers to build a high-performing team.
