American Family Insurance is seeking a Senior Manager within Applied AI to lead a team delivering AI/ML solutions across business workflows. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical guidance, ensuring production-oriented, measurable outcomes while partnering with governance, security, and product teams.

In this hybrid role, expect to work from the office at least 10 days per month and reside within ~35-50 miles of Madison, WI or Boston, MA.

Formación

• Demonstrated experience leading data scientists, machine learning practitioners, or applied AI specialists.
• Proven ability to deliver ML/AI solutions into production workflows.
• Hands-on prototyping, code review, and architecture discussions.
• Strong understanding of AI system design, observability, and production risk.
• Experience managing a delivery portfolio with prioritization and constraints.
• Ability to partner across security, governance, risk, product, and operations.
• Working knowledge of insurance domain is a plus.
