Job summary

Onto Innovation is hiring for a systems/metrology engineer to develop and qualify optical measurement solutions for state-of-the-art logic and memory devices. You will work with systems engineers on scatterometry/ellipsometry models, interface with customers, and deliver demonstrations and technical presentations at customer sites.

The role involves on-site and travel requirements, with opportunities to influence product direction and participate in advanced metrology projects across multiple

Qualifications

• Requires 0–3 years of experience and a degree in a relevant science/engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to deliver effective technical presentations to diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of optical properties of materials and light-matter interaction.
• Experience with experimental design, data science, and statistical analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with numerical techniques and signal processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to highlight application opportunities and strengthen Onto Innovation's market position.
• Perform on-site tool qualification to meet customer specifications.
• Build and optimize scatterometry and ellipsometry models for various applications.
• Collect field feedback and relay it to engineering and marketing for future developments.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrate systems to customers.
