Job summary
HYDAC Technology Corporation seeks an Application Engineering Manager to lead the Hydraulic Division’s engineering team and own the quality and commercial soundness of quoted applications. You will review concepts, size systems, approve product selections, and drive technical excellence.
The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, including mentoring Senior and Principal Engineers and coordinating with Operations and Sales to support growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (industry experience considered).
- 8+ years in application engineering, technical sales support or hydraulic design.
- Strong leadership experience and ability to mentor teams.
- Deep expertise in hydraulic technologies and system integration.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and mentor the Hydraulic Division Application Engineers across levels (Junior to Principal).
- Review and approve application concepts, sizing, calculations and product selections before customer delivery.
- Visit customers and channel partners to understand applications and drive growth.
- Lead design reviews and cross-functional coordination with Operations, Sales and Purchasing.
