Job summary
Zebra Technologies in Holtsville, NY is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to architect, evaluate, improve and support system solutions for the retail point of sale market. You will ensure Advanced Data Capture products work seamlessly with customers’ POS systems and provide training to partners and customers.
The role collaborates with product management and engineering, requires onsite work with a hybrid pattern (minimum 3 days in the office per week), and involves planning strategic
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Experience with advanced data capture and retail point of sale solutions
- Knowledge of basic electrical engineering concepts (schematics, wiring, hand tools)
- Knowledge of basic imaging concepts
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical resource and escalation point for internal and external teams
- Analyze product performance and usability to identify core issues
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management to validate fixes
- Assist in planning and analysis of strategic customer projects
- Ensure Zebra products/features maximize customer benefit and align with roadmaps
- Contribute to deployment and testing at customer locations as needed
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for partners/customers and escalate complex issues
