Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a seasoned Applications Engineer for its Data Center Solutions unit. You will support and debug enterprise storage products, collaborate with Product Development and Sales, and deliver training and technical collateral for customers.

Required are strong embedded/FW skills, C language proficiency, and experience with SoC architectures. Travel across NA and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CE, CSE or EE with 5–7.5 years of firmware development experience.
• Strong firmware/embedded systems development and debugging skills.
• Experience / knowledge of SoC architecture and debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Support, manage and resolve technical issues related to DCS hardware and firmware/software.
• Debug firmware, software and protocol-level issues for enterprise storage products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from requirements to post-production support.
• Develop customer collateral and training materials for products and releases.
• Provide product training to customers and internal teams.
• Demonstrate new products at industry events; contribute to PoC and prototypes.
