Job summary

Arrow Electronics in Reno, Nevada is seeking an Applications Engineer to design and develop software solutions, managing the full SDLC from planning and testing to deployment and auditing. You will diagnose complex software issues, verify bugs, support beta releases, and document specifications while working under moderate supervision and collaborating with the software development manager.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in software development and troubleshooting.
• Ability to solve complex problems and apply new perspectives using existing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops software solutions to meet business requirements; manages the full software development life cycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.
• Performs product design, bug verification, and beta support, which may require research and analysis.
• Executes, assesses, and troubleshoots software programs and applications; analyzes and amends software errors in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle; participates in software upgrades, revisions, fixes, and patches as mandated by the vendor.
• Operates under moderate supervision and typically reports to the Manager of Software Development.
