Job summary

Arrow Electronics in Reno, NV seeks an Applications Engineer to design and develop software solutions, manage the full software development life cycle, and support testing, implementation, and auditing.

Responsibilities include bug verification, beta support, coding and documenting software specifications, and contributing to process improvements under supervision of the Software Development Manager.

Qualifications

5–7 years of related experience with a 4-year degree or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of software development and troubleshooting.
Ability to solve complex problems using existing solutions.
Works independently with minimal guidance.
Provides informal guidance to junior staff.
Contributes to process improvements.
Tracks and resolves problems using existing solutions.
Career level may stabilize for many years.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops software solutions across the full SDLC including testing, implementation, and auditing.
Performs product design, bug verification, and beta support.
Executes, assesses, and troubleshoots software programs and applications.
Codes, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle.
Operates under moderate supervision and reports to the Manager of Software Development.
