Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Applications Engineer Senior - Level 3 for the Advanced Manufacturing Technology team in Marietta, GA. You will drive development, integration, and validation of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to improve production efficiency and capability.

You will act as a subject matter expert on complex automation and robotic systems, lead cross-functional efforts, and manage government-funded and internal AMT projects with budget and schedule oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Work experience in Applications, Manufacturing, Process, Robotics or other related Engineering field
• Experience in technical problem solving within manufacturing with exposure to prototyping new ideas
• Project management experience working with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Drive the development, integration, and validation of advanced manufacturing technologies
• Serve as a subject matter expert on complex automation and robotic systems
• Execute project-management functions for both government-funded and internally-funded AMT projects, including budget and schedule oversight, status reporting, and cost-benefit analysis
• Provide technical status updates and troubleshoot issues for Production Operations build areas supporting AMT projects
• Engage in direct collaboration with shop-floor personnel to prototype, test, and validate new technology concepts
