Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, GA is seeking an Applications Engineering Senior Staff to lead automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing initiatives across production systems. You will guide technical teams, prototype on the shop floor, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate concepts into deployable solutions.

The role emphasizes project management, cross-functional teamwork, and a focus on delivering cost-effective, advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience in Applications, Manufacturing, Process, Robotics or other related Engineering field.
Experience in technical problem solving within manufacturing with exposure to prototyping new ideas.
Project management experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert on complex automation, robotics, and mechanical systems.
Provide technical leadership and guidance internally to AMT team members and externally to cross-functional teams.
Enable understanding and stakeholder alignment for complex concepts through strong technical communication.
Collaborate with shop-floor personnel to prototype, test, and validate new technology concepts.
Manage technology development and deployment projects, including budget and schedule oversight and cost-benefit analyses.
