Digital Dynamics Inc. is hiring a Senior Applications Engineer to serve as the main technical interface between customers and our engineering teams. You will influence product requirements, support integration, and help ensure customer success throughout the lifecycle.

The role involves collaborating across Software, Firmware, Electrical, Systems, and Test Engineering, with hands-on support for hardware, firmware, and software solutions and occasional travel to customer sites and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in applications, systems, or customer‑facing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, motion control, and electrical hardware.
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics and hardware integration.
  • Programming experience with C, C++, C#, Python, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and DDI engineering teams.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend hardware and software solutions.
  • Support system integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Software, Firmware, Electrical, Systems, and Test Engineering teams on product improvements.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation, application notes, customer training, and product demonstrations.
  • Capture customer feedback and market insights to guide future development.
  • Support customer visits, trade shows, and industry events, including moderate travel.

Position Summary

The Senior Applications Engineer is an experienced individual contributor responsible for serving as the primary technical interface between customers and DDI's engineering teams. This role supports both pre-sale and post-sale activities, ensuring DDI's hardware, firmware, and software solutions are successfully integrated into customer applications. Working closely with customers, you will help define technical requirements, recommend solutions, troubleshoot complex system issues, and provide hands‑on application support. Internally, you'll collaborate with Software, Firmware, Electrical, Systems, and Test Engineering teams to influence product improvements, support new product introductions, and ensure customer success throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in applications, systems, or customer-facing engineering supporting industrial automation, embedded systems, or semiconductor equipment
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, motion control, and electrical hardware
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics, supporting hardware integration, and troubleshooting complex systems
  • Programming experience with C, C++, C#, Python, or similar languages
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and common engineering tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel moderately to support customers and industry events
  • Experience with functional safety standards or PCB documentation is a plus
