Job summary

Digital Dynamics Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting the design, testing, and documentation of electrical systems in our industrial control products.

You will work with experienced engineers on schematic capture, PCB development, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and engineering documentation. This full-time summer internship targets students nearing completion or who recently finished an electrical engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, Eagle, or KiCad.
• Hands-on lab equipment experience (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters).
• Embedded systems/ firmware familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout activities.
• Support the assembly, bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes.
• Perform electrical measurements using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
• Help identify and resolve hardware design, component, and test-related issues.
• Support testing involving embedded systems and hardware-integrated products.
• Prepare and update engineering documentation, technical reports, and ECOs.
• Collaborate with electrical, firmware, test, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.

This internship provides exposure to real-world hardware development and manufacturing in a collaborative engineering environment.This is a full-time summer internship intended for students who are nearing completion of or have recently completed a degree in electrical engineering. Based on performance and business needs, the internship may lead to a regular full-time opportunity.The internship pays $35.00 per hour for candidates pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree and $40.00 per hour for candidates pursuing or holding a master’s degree. Candidates must be able to work 100% onsite in Scotts Valley.
