Job summary

Weis Markets seeks a Senior Application Developer to provide technical and functional support for multiple applications. You will work with business SMEs to define requirements, mentor teammates, and resolve production issues while following IT standards.

You will develop, review, and document code, perform detailed analysis of databases and processes, and lead requirements and design discussions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in computer-related field required, minimum 10 years IT experience.
• Solid knowledge of API frameworks and database technologies.
• Experience with .NET or JAVA and the ability to self-manage support/issue priorities.

Responsibilities

• Read, analyze, develop, and maintain program code for custom systems or software packages.
• Perform peer reviews of code and ensure changes follow change control processes.
• Document business use of applications and data challenges with stakeholders.
• Analyze database structures, batch processing, and online processes and document findings.
• Lead requirements gathering and design discussions with technical and business resources.
• Develop and validate unit and system test scripts and assist with UAT and test plans.
• Communicate design ideas and status clearly to associates with varying tech understanding.
• Produce training materials for business and IT audiences.
• Mentor team members and drive initiatives and smaller projects.
