Job summary

VCU Health Applications Analyst-Staff is responsible for analysis, design, implementation, operation, deployment, and support of the health system's IT resources. The role collaborates with end-users and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions, while guiding project work and ensuring adherence to standards.

The position requires Epic module certification within 90 days of training and ongoing support for system upgrades, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion across the health

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
• Three years of related experience, including one year of direct IT application experience.
• Must be certified in Epic modules appropriate to area of responsibility.
• Broad knowledge of SDLC and application development.
• Ability to lead design sessions with end-users and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs and performs system builds to meet customer needs.
• Collects and analyzes information from system users and conducts feasibility studies.
• Writes system and configuration specifications.
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation for system users.
• Troubleshoots application issues and coordinates with vendors.
• Leads design sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Supports system upgrades and improvements.
• Provides on-call support as needed.
