Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Sr Systems Application Analyst to elicit and convert business requirements into precise system designs for the Employer Portal and related applications. The role emphasizes delivering clear, traceable functional designs guiding IT solutions, with a focus on complex business issues and data challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Understand larger and more complex business issues and data challenges; decompose information and translate into actionable requirements.
• Analyze end-to-end business and technical flows and assess operations impacts.
• Review, edit, and prioritize requirements, specifications, processes and recommendations; distinguish user requests from real business needs.
• Translate requirements into system-level solutions using interviews, workshops, analyses, use cases, and prototypes.
• Coordinate development of functional design specs, GUI/screen designs, and VUI designs; identify risks and dependencies.
• Guide project personnel to identify required system changes and perform gap analysis with support from technical staff.
• Collaborate with analysts, designers, developers, and SMEs to set the technical vision and balance usability with performance.
• Ensure traceability from requirements through development to ensure the final system meets goals.
