My client, a leading quantitative investment firm, is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their growing Market Access & Platform team in Connecticut.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the stability and reliability of the firm's systematic trading platform. Sitting directly within the front office, this is a hands‑on role at the interface between traders and engineering, overseeing production changes, managing incidents, and driving recurring issues through to permanent resolution.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in electronic trading application support, ideally gained within an investment bank. Strong experience supporting front‑office trading platforms is essential, alongside an understanding of areas such as order entry, execution, market connectivity, market data, and the trade lifecycle.

The role will also involve improving monitoring and alerting, conducting root‑cause analysis, and developing tooling to improve platform stability. Familiarity with Python and SQL is required, alongside an interest in applying AI and LLM-based tooling to accelerate incident triage and automate repeatable processes.
