OutSystems is seeking a Senior Security Engineer on the Application Security team to independently drive security outcomes across our AI-powered low-code platform. You will own security initiatives, partner with engineering, product, and legal to reduce real customer risk and enable teams to move faster with security designed in from the start.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to secure-by-default patterns, and help build tooling to automate security tasks.

Formación

• Proven experience executing application security work in cloud-native environments.
• Strong grounding in secure design and threat modeling.
• Ability to independently manage and deliver moderately complex security tasks.
• Comfortable across application, cloud, and platform security.
• Proven ability to write and reason about code; AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices experience.
• Knowledge of red, purple, and pen-testing concepts.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to seek guidance when facing ambiguous problems while owning execution.

Responsabilidades

• Independently drive security work across all phases of the SDLC, from design through release.
• Own delivery of moderately complex security projects or features.
• Partner with engineering and platform teams to secure AI-powered capabilities.
• Conduct focused security assessments of applications, APIs, and internal services.
• Contribute to secure-by-default patterns, guardrails, and paved roads.
• Operate and improve security tooling by tuning signal quality and reducing noise.
• Build or extend security tooling and automation to eliminate manual work.
• Clearly communicate risks and recommendations to engineering partners.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in security processes and suggest improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and new hires on Product Security practices.
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships by being reliable and outcome-oriented.
