Job summary

Clear Capital is seeking a Sr. Application Security Engineer to ensure applications and services are built with high security standards across connected dependencies, including middle-tier systems and databases.

The role emphasizes secure development practices, risk mitigation, and ongoing collaboration with technical and leadership teams in a business‑driven environment. The candidate will lead security testing, threat modeling, and auditing of AI-related stacks, while training and mentoring

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related security experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong background in software development and scripting.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
• Experience with AWS and private cloud environments.
• Certifications such as C|ASE, CSSLP, GWAPT, OSCP or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, CIS or SOC 2.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct application security testing across the SDLC to identify vulnerabilities.
• Assess discovered vulnerabilities and propose risk-mitigating solutions using automation.
• Communicate findings and progress to stakeholders with SLAs and metrics.
• Lead AI security initiatives, including threat modeling for LLM stacks and third‑party model auditing.
• Collaborate with architects and dev teams to drive secure design practices.
• Define and follow a security review process to enable repeatable assurance.
• Monitor the security community for threats and learn new testing tactics.
• Train developers and junior engineers on common weaknesses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
