Job summary

Xylem seeks a Senior Application Engineer to lead refurbishment efforts for ozone installations in municipal and industrial water treatment. You will develop technical solutions from site assessment to proposal and handoff, working closely with sales, engineering, sourcing, and project management to ensure reliable, cost-effective refurbishments.

The role requires strong engineering judgment, customer-facing skills, and experience with retrofit projects in water markets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in application/project/aftermarket engineering for refurbishment solutions.
Ability to interpret technical specs and translate into practical solutions.
Experience preparing technical proposals, estimates and scopes.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Support sales teams with technical and application engineering expertise for refurbishment opportunities.
Conduct site visits to inspect installations and prepare condition assessment reports.
Evaluate ozone systems to define repair, retrofit or modernization options.
Develop cost estimates, timelines, and technical/commercial proposals.
Coordinate with internal teams for scope development and order execution.
Maintain accurate opportunity data in Salesforce and communicate with stakeholders.
Report complaints and warranty matters to internal teams.
