Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is hiring an Application Engineer III to maintain and enhance enterprise applications, both custom-built and low-code. The role blends day-to-day operations with design and development of new solutions, partnering with vendors and internal teams to drive performance improvements and scale.

Mentorship to junior engineers is included in this senior position. The candidate will work across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and low-code tools (UiPath, Pega, Appian, Power Platform),

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10 years of experience developing and supporting custom built configured application solutions.
• Experience with low-code platforms (UiPath, Pega, Appian, Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency creating and supporting SQL and Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support a portfolio of custom and low-code applications to ensure high availability and performance.
• Resolve complex technical issues, including coordination with IT teams and vendors to resolve high-impact production issues.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve application issues; perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams and application developers for performance tuning and deployment issues.
• Maintain incident and change management records per ITSM standards; participate in on-call rotation.
• Provide deployment support to the development team; monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Write and maintain documentation; translate user stories into enhancements or new features.
