Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced PCA Engineer in the Dallas area to design, configure, test, and implement advanced protection, control, and automation solutions for energy systems.

You will collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams while promoting a safety-first culture and leveraging your knowledge of LV/MV power systems and relay-based ATO schemes. Domestic travel up to 40% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 4+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s LV/MV power systems.
• Advanced knowledge of power systems and protection schemes; relay-based ATO schemes.
• Experience with communication protocols: Modbus, DNP, IEC61850.
• Travel up to 40% domestically.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 4+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s LV/MV power systems.
• Advanced knowledge of:
  • Power systems and protection schemes.
  • Protection relays and relay‑based ATO schemes.
  • Testing protocols for feeder, transformer, bus differential, arc flash, and motor protection.
• Experience and Proficiency in communication protocols: Modbus, DNP, IEC61850.
• Experience executing complex relay‑based ATO schemes over IEC61850.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically.
• Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s Medium and Low Voltage systems is a plus.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is {{PAY_RANGE}} per year. This pay range includes base pay and short‑term incentives. The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
