Job summary

ABB in Columbus, OH is seeking a seasoned DCS Engineer to lead ABB AC450 projects through design, migration, and startup. You will configure and test DCS applications, act as the primary customer technical contact, and guide junior engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in DCS engineering, AMPLE programming expertise, and familiarity with MasterView; Pulp & Paper process knowledge is preferred. This is a hybrid position with strong growth potential and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with ABB AC450 DCS Controllers and migration methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AMPLE programming; experience developing/modifying ABB DCS applications.
  • Experience with MasterView and ABB operator interfaces.
  • Ability to read and develop engineering docs (P&IDs, narratives, FDS, diagrams).
  • 5+ years in DCS application engineering (design, config, test, commissioning, troubleshooting, support).
  • Pulp & Paper industry experience and ABB Pulp & Paper Library is preferred.

  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in control systems.
