Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to act as the technical liaison between Tenneco and its customers, guiding product development and program execution from concept through production.

As the product expert, you will lead cross-functional teams, deliver technical reviews, support RFQ/VA-VE activities, and drive cost optimization to improve performance and profitability for Sealing & Gaskets, Valves, Pistons, Rings & Liners, and Bearings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent/ higher experience.
• 5-10 years of relevant automotive experience (preferred).
• Strong technical and leadership capabilities required across product development and customer programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and lead product development throughout the lifecycle.
• Travel as needed to support customer programs, technical reviews, launches, and business development activities.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, reports, and proposals to stakeholders.
