White Cap is seeking a structural engineer to perform moderately complex calculations and support materials and product applications in our Florida operations. You will visit job sites and assist account managers in sales efforts, applying current codes and design practices.
Typically a BS/BA is required with 0-2 years of related field experience; strong AutoCAD skills and blueprint reading are preferred.

Responsible for moderately complex engineering work requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data. Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process. May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds). Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
