Our client, a premier global law firm known for handling sophisticated, high-stakes matters, is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join its team. This role focuses on configuring, integrating, and optimizing enterprise legal technology solutions, with a strong emphasis on SQL, PowerShell, connecting via APIs, and connecting various platforms and data sources to improve workflow efficiency and scalability. The team is seeking technically strong engineers with excellent communication skills who can collaborate across business and technology teams while helping drive innovation around AI and automation tools. Law firm experience is preferred, though candidates from broader professional services environments will also be considered. This is a hybrid role anywhere our client has an office, with preference given to candidates based in Texas.

What You’ll Do

• Configure and optimize legal and litigation technology solutions to meet advanced firm requirements
• Lead the integration of cloud and on premises data sources into SaaS platforms
• Serve as a senior escalation point, providing Level 3 application support and resolving complex Level 2 issues
• Partner with vendors to ensure alignment with firm standards, best practices, and efficiency goals
• Manage system upgrades, conversions, and enhancements in coordination with non IT business partners
• Ensure all applications comply with security, governance, and compliance standards
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation covering configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting
• Act as a subject matter expert for technology initiatives within the department
• Provide operational support, including participation in a shared on call rotation

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Significant experience in advanced application support, configuration, or innovation focused technical roles
• Experience working with emerging AI and automation technologies
• Solid understanding of application and data integrations, including APIs, ETL, and data pipelines
• Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL, Linux environments, REST APIs, and PowerShell scripting
• Exceptional problem solving, judgment, and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate across technical and business teams
