Job summary

Toray Advanced Composites is seeking an Application Development Engineer III to drive the technical adoption of Toray materials into customer products. You will identify new use cases and advise on processing and properties to enable adoption.

You will lead internal development projects, engage with industry partners, and represent Toray at major conferences to raise visibility of Toray materials and support cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Process Technology, R&D and Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science or engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in composite materials processing or related area.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend new applications for Toray products and drive adoption with sales and BD.
• Lead internal development projects including process development and equipment qualifications.
• Engage with industry partners to promote Toray materials in key markets.
• Represent Toray at major conferences and present technical content.
• Manage customer site audits, support critical material qualifications, and ensure safe operations.
