Responsibilities

  • Manage training programs and performance appraisal processes

About Us:

Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.

Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, HDPE, and PP.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

The HR Generalist/Business Partner III is a strategic partner to the overall business, leaders, and employees. The HR Generalist/Business Partner III will build partnerships with leadership and employees by managing all aspects of Human resources which includes but isn’t limited to employee relations, benefits, leave of absence, training and development, policy creation and maintenance, HRIS, retention and employee morale. This role is responsible for creating policies while understand the businesses, leadership, and employee needs. This role will ensure compliance of federal and state law. The HR Generalist/Business Partner III should be a mentor to those in the HR department. This role requires a high level of confidentiality.

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Partner with the leadership and employees by creating, driving and implanting HR strategies including development, engagement and performance management
  • Point of contact for employee relations for both leadership and employees by creating and implementing HR policies that support company objectives
  • Ensure people leaders are trained on dealing with difficult employee relations while guaranteeing fairness of the process
  • Create, educate and provide resources for questions regarding employment, benefits, leaves of absence, training and development
  • Evaluate and recommend strategies on programs that can improve employee engagement, development and retention
  • Support and implement engagement strategies and initiatives
  • Partner with the HR team to ensure employee benefits and wellness programs are effective
  • Partner effectively with other departments and key stakeholders on a day to day basis as well as on projects with the ability to gain buy in to implement changes.
  • Maintain and partner with leaders on the annual compensation planning process by reviewing pay structures and qualifications of talent
  • Manage and assist with training programs and performance appraisal processes
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
  • Partner and support the EHS team on the workers compensation program and actively support the company safety program and initiatives

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience, Masters preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in leadership is preferred
  • Manufacturing or composites experience preferred
  • Proficiency with HRIS - ADP software is preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR compliance, state and federal employment labor laws and immigration
  • Demonstrated ability in managing difficult and/or complex employee relations issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters effectively
  • Ability to influence without authority and develop positive professional relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to use a high level of tact, diplomacy, discretion and empathy/understanding
  • Ability to drive change management initiatives
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and have a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to communicate (written and verbally) in English
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner
  • Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment)
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.

Salary range: $120k - $130k annually
