Job summary

KeyLogic is seeking a Senior Application Developer to join our growing team supporting the Department of Energy in Germantown, MD. This federal contract requires U.S. Citizenship a background suitability check to secure building access and is on-site in Germantown.

You will plan migrations of Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud, lead identity management initiatives, and develop Java/JavaScript applications in Azure, while mentoring a small team and producing clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science.
• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Jira solutions.
• Strong Java and JavaScript development experience.
• Experience with SQL and SQL Managed Instance.
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud migrations for Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management.
• Agile Scrum with Jira and Jira administration.
• Azure App Service / Azure SQL Managed Instance / Azure DevOps.
• Ability to coordinate and lead development activities among team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and support migrations of Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud.
• Provide Identity Management expertise and maintenance of identity services (MFA, SSO) and authorization concepts.
• Apply software updates/patches to Jira, Confluence, WebSphere.
• Integrate Jira with other tools and systems.
• Provide technical mentorship to a small team of developers.
• Build, enhance and maintain Jira-based and Java/Azure .NET web applications.
• Modernize applications written in older technologies for new platforms.
• Perform requirements analysis and write technical documentation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and solve issues in existing applications.
• Provide clear communication with clients, team members and customers on video, phone and in person.
• Capture concise and accurate technical documentation.

• Applies software updates and patches to Jira, Confluence, WebSphere.

• Provides technical mentorship, guidance, and expertise to a small team of developers
• Builds, enhances and maintains custom solutions in Jira, Java-based and Azure .NET custom web-applications
• Modernizes applications written in older technologies for new platforms

Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 dependent upon experience
