Job description

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Senior Application Delivery Manager on a Direct Hire basis. This role is based out of New York, NY.

Summary

We are seeking a senior delivery leader to oversee large-scale application development engagements with a strong emphasis on fixed-fee project execution and public sector delivery. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end project planning, financial performance, stakeholder alignment, and delivery excellence across complex programs. The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading cross-functional teams, managing risk, and ensuring successful outcomes within structured project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale delivery engagements from planning through execution and final delivery, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Manage fixed-fee projects with full accountability for financial performance, resource planning, delivery milestones, and client commitments.
• Oversee application development programs, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive execution across technical and business workstreams.
• Serve as the primary client-facing leader for project delivery, providing status updates, managing expectations, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks, issues, and change requests, implementing corrective actions to keep programs on track.
• Ensure project governance, reporting, and execution practices align with established project management methodologies and public sector requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, team effectiveness, and operational execution across engagements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in project and delivery management, including leadership of large, complex technology programs.
• Strong experience managing fixed-fee or fixed-bid projects with ownership of scope, budget, timelines, and overall delivery outcomes.
• Background in leading application development & software delivery engagements.
• Expertise in project leadership and formal project management methodologies; PMP-aligned delivery experience required.
• Proven ability to lead client-facing delivery efforts within public sector (preferred) or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex delivery settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required; MBA or comparable postgraduate degree preferred.
• PMP certification and experience supporting account growth or business development activities are preferred.
