Job summary

NationMind LLC in Kennesaw, GA seeks a Senior Application Architect / Software Engineer to design and deliver complex software solutions. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, with responsibility for maintaining architectural integrity and aligning delivery with business goals.

You will work across frontend and backend languages (Python, Java, Ansible, Bash), drive CI/CD and automated testing, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Jira/Remedy/ServiceNow for issue tracking

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid experience as Software Engineer.
• Experience in Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle/MySQL.
• Proficiency with CI/CD and automated testing practices.
• Familiarity with Jira, Remedy or ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack.
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automates manual release activities.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
• Deliver complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies.
• Provide technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies.
• Accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Job Descriptions:

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns. Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of solid experience as Software Engineer and experience in multiple frontend and backend languages (Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting)
• Deep understanding of data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle, MySQL
• Application development methodologies and infrastructure as well as analytical, planning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing.
• Working knowledge of JIRA/Remedy/Service Now
