Santa Cruz Appliance is seeking an experienced appliance repair professional to join our team as a Parts Triage & Pre-Diagnosis Specialist. This role focuses on reviewing upcoming service calls, pre-diagnosing issues, identifying likely parts, and ordering parts before technicians arrive.

Ideal candidates have extensive field experience diagnosing residential appliances and are eager to transition from hands-on service to diagnostic support.

Qualifications

• Years of hands-on residential appliance repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic knowledge of major appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges).
• Ability to read customer complaints and quickly list likely causes.
• Familiarity with exploded-view diagrams and manufacturer parts breakdowns.
• Good computer skills and experience with web-based parts distributors/service software.

Responsibilities

• Review upcoming service calls and pre-diagnose when appropriate.
• Identify likely parts and pre-order before technician arrives.
• Look up OEM part numbers using manufacturer resources.
• Order parts and verify availability.
• Communicate pre-diagnosis notes and likely failure points to technicians.
