Job summary

Astor & Sanders Corporation is seeking a Senior Appian Developer in a full-time, onsite DC-area role. You will lead hands-on Appian development, steer interdisciplinary teams, and ensure secure, scalable solutions.

You will design and implement Appian objects, APIs, data integrations, and drive best practices across code reviews and security processes. The role requires 6+ years in Appian, leadership in agile delivery, and strong Oracle experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on Appian development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years leading developer teams in agile delivery.
• Experience delivering Appian solutions across multi-region environments for 200+ users.
• Experience implementing relational databases (Oracle) for Appian projects.
• Strong knowledge of Appian objects (SAIL interfaces, process models, sites, records, reports).
• Architecting front-end and back-end solutions, including APIs and data integrations.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevSecOps automation.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Appian applications and integrations.
• Lead a team through requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Conduct code reviews and guide best practices and coding standards.
• Implement and oversee DevSecOps automation for testing, security, and deployment.
• Provide architectural expertise and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts and scrum master to refine user stories and timelines.
• Coordinate security assessments and address vulnerabilities within timelines.
