Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Consultant to support a mission-critical DoD customer in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area. You will design, develop, and enhance secure Appian applications supporting federal workflows and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Appian development experience, strong integration skills, and the ability to work with government stakeholders in a secure environment. Familiarity with REST/SOAP/JDBC and Agile/Scrum is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing Appian applications and components.
• Experience integrating Appian with APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Active Secret clearance or higher preferred; DoD/federal exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Appian applications, workflows, and BPM solutions.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and designs.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations via REST APIs, SOAP, JDBC, and databases.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, teams, and government stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and sprint events.
• Support delivery in secure federal environments with compliance.
