Job summary

Piper Companies seeks an experienced Consultant to design, develop, and enhance Appian solutions for a DoD customer in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia region. The role focuses on secure federal workflows, integrations, and rapid delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Appian development experience, strong integration skills, and the ability to collaborate with government stakeholders while adhering to security requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Appian development experience including record types, interfaces, process models, business rules, and related components.
• Experience integrating Appian with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, SOAP, JDBC, SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and delivering in sprints.
• Active Secret clearance or higher preferred; DoD/federal experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Appian applications, workflows, and business processes.
• Translate requirements into functional Appian solutions, user stories, and technical designs.
• Build and troubleshoot integrations between Appian and enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, JDBC, and databases.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and government stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning and demos.
• Support ongoing enhancements and ensure compliance with federal security requirements.
