Job summary

Zumiez is seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist to lead day-to-day product compliance in our Home Office environment in Lynnwood, WA. You will mentor a team, manage testing workflows, and partner with Product Development and Counsel to scale compliance across apparel and hardgoods.

The role requires deep expertise in labeling, safety rules, and international regulations, plus strong communication with overseas partners and leadership, while delivering scalable, practical solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance for apparel/hardgoods.
• 2+ years supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Must have apparel or textile experience; knowledge of fabrication and textile compatibility.
• Organized, detail oriented, data driven; proficient with Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of labeling and safety regulations (CPSC, Prop 65, REACH, RoHS).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day regulatory product compliance execution, support, and guidance for merchandise and production teams.
• Document compliance via agency approvals, test records, and reports; maintain databases.
• Conduct REACH audits and interpret federal, state, and international regulations.
• Investigate and resolve compliance questions; coordinate testing and inspections.
• Lead supplier communications on safety, testing, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee onboarding and development of direct reports; partner with leadership on goals.
